How I Approach Fragrance Reviews

Fragrance is subjective, so perfume reviews on EpicFashion focus on both factual information and the experience of wearing or understanding a fragrance.

Depending on the article, I consider the fragrance’s scent profile, development, sweetness, freshness, warmth, character, performance, versatility, seasons, occasions, value, and overall appeal.

I also look beyond the fragrance notes themselves. A list of ingredients or notes cannot always tell a reader how a perfume will feel in practice, which is why reviews aim to explain the character and progression of a fragrance in accessible language.

Performance observations should be understood as practical observations rather than laboratory measurements. Longevity, projection, and scent perception can vary depending on skin, climate, application, and individual perception.
